RevFire Offers New Baseball & Softball Technology

RevFire Showcases New Baseball & Softball Technology

RevFire(tm) is a technical breakthrough product that measures pitch spin rate as well as speed. In baseball and softball, strong spin is required throw a deceptive curveball, slider, sinker, screwball, or fastball with ‘movement’. Developed by an aerospace engineer, the affordable RevFire is easier to use than radar guns and provides a significant advantage in pitcher training and evaluation.

In the January 26, 2007 issue of Collegiate Baseball, Coach John Pinkman, director of the Pinkman Baseball Academy, noted that with the RevFire, “Pitchers get instant feedback for more effective training.” Fastpitch Softball Hall of Famer and ESPN TV analyst Coach Cindy Bristow of SoftballExcellence.com also uses the RevFire and states “The RevFire, to me, is the single greatest piece of pitching equipment to improve your pitcher’s pitches.” The deceptive curveball pitch has been studied and mathematically described by many scientists over the last half century. Their mathematical equations are consistent; more spin creates more curve. According to Mike White, a member of the USA National Men’s Fastpitch Softball team, “I can envision RPS [Revolutions Per Second] being as common in judging pitchers in the future asMPH is today.
