2008 NFCA Recruiting Camps

National Fastpitch Coaches Association Recruiting Camp Information

Since their debut in 1993, the NFCA's recruiting camps have become one of the most popular ways for high school athletes to showcase their talent to college coaches. In 2007, the camps attracted more than 7,000 applicants and 1,600 pre-registered college coaches from around the nation.

Administered Camps

Every aspect, from the application and selection process to on-field administration, is handled by the NFCA staff.

Endorsed Camps

The NFCA endorses 10 recruiting camps. While prospective campers apply for endorsed camps on the NFCA Web site, administration, including the acceptance of campers, and registration is handled by the respective local staff. Although these camps are managed by other groups, each camp must comply with strict NFCA standards. For more information on endorsed camps, click here.

Want to Take Your Game to the Next Level?: Consider Enrolling in a Softball Camp!

OK, ladies, the holidays are upon us. So here's a thought for you serious softball athletes out there: Consider adding to your Christmas/Holiday gift wish list having your parents enroll you in a softball camp.

Whether you are a first-time softball player in need of the basics of pitching, fielding and hitting, or a HS athlete looking to advance your skills to score that big scholarship, or you are an elite college-bound athlete preparing for the tough college circuit, softball camps have become increasingly popular place to improve a player's overall skill sets.

Choosing the right camp to enroll in, however, can be a daunting task, particularly when trying to balance your school schedule with your recreational activities. Most importantly, you must determine the reputation of the camp and the background of the instructors. There are many independently run camps to chose from, as well as camps that have a national affiliation.

Our recommendation: US Fastpitch Camps. The organization provides softball camp and fastpitch clinics nationwide. Softballcamps.com says it has put together some of the most up-to-date softball training camps available today. The first of the winter camps happens to be in Arizona, our home state. Scheduled to begin for December 26, 2007, the weather is fabulous in December and from the looks of the instructors list, it's very impressive group.
